Hahn N 103 Introductory Foundations of Physics Laboratory
Student Helper Tasks:

 

 

1.   Read the "Transition Notes" and "Notes and Tests" sections of the lab setup page first to see what needs to be left out for the next lab and what other details to take into account when setting up.

2.      Straighten parts that will remain at all lab stations . 

3.      Make sure all trash is off tables.

4.   Take down what is not needed for the next lab

5.      Sweepy Sweepy.

6.   Set up new equipment for the lab.

7.   Test all equipment as it is set up.

8.      Make sure each station has two chairs.

9.      Clean up printer area.  Fill all printers with paper and have at least one ream of paper per two printers extra. Make sure that there are two reams of paper in the TA closet.

10.   Check for missing equipment.

11.   Replace all equipment that needs to be repaired.  Never reshelf equipment that needs to be repaired; put it in the broken parts bin.

12. Return all storage bins to their storage location.

13.  Make sure any parts that need to be replaced (e.g. Light bulb) are replaced.  If the supply of spare equipment is low place the item on the order list.

14.  Check the brass weight sets are complete. (1-10g, 2-20g, 1-50g, 1-100g, 2-200g, 1-500g)

15.  Check to make sure that all items in the storage closet are returned to their correct storage location.  There should be no items left on any counter.
