M71: Kinetic and Potential Energy

 

Purpose: To demonstrate kinetic and potential energy.

Description:
Please specify if you want A, B, or both when requesting this demo.

 

A) High road/ Low Road: Show that the shortest distance is not always necessarily the fastest with this demo in kinetic and potential energy.

  B) Large potential/kinetic energy tracks: Four different tracks all starting from the same height, but with different vertical alterations in the past. Race the steel balls down the tracks and investigate which tracks the balls finish first and last, but note how no matter which track the ball exits at the same velocity.

 Two tracks (one straight, one with dips), 2 support blocks D4.2
  Two Steel Balls D4.2
  Large potential/kinetic energy track with 4 roads D4.2
