Here is what you need at a minimum:
note: both tuners work best on a laptop, although they will technically run on your phone...)
Completely optional for this purpose, historic, or for more advanced work:
Fourier Analysis Program:
I used Visual Analyzer, available for
free download at http://www.sillanumsoft.org/download.htm
I installed it with its defaults. This takes a
while to learn how to use.My synthesizer:
Install ActivePerl/Tk (or equivalent).
Install VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
(This program is way overkill for
the simple pipe to buffered audio I used it for.)
Save these three Perl files to a project directory:wavgen.pl
wavgen2.pl
wavgen.txtif needed, edit wavgen2.pl so it points to the installed VLC executable - fix this line:
$vlcname = <fid>Run (using perl) the file wavgen.pl
OPTIONAL:
I like Wave Repair. It's shareware, so not
finally free.
