Purpose: To demonstrate nonlinear oscillation.

Observe the chaotic motion of a point on a disc with this apparatus consisting of two springs and motor which can turn at varying speeds powered by a low voltage power supply. The motion of this demonstration can also be studied in detail by hooking it up to our Science Workshop Interface and looking at the data on a computer. |
