F08: Pascal's Vials - Pressure in a Liquid |
Purpose: To show that the level of a liquid surface is independent of the shape of the container. |
Description: |
Interconnected tubes of various shapes and sizes, colored water. Pour the liquid into one of the tubes and show that the liquid level becomes the same in all tubes, independent of the shape of the tube. The current version of this demonstration is small. A close-up camera would make it more visible to a large class. |
