Wireless Microphones

Two wireless microphones are availible for use in CHEMP 130. Each has its own independent reciever. The microphones can abe used both independently or together. The volume on the two microphones can be controlled separately from the Crestron Controller. Usually it is sufficent to simply use the master volume control to set the desired volume in the room.

There is a switch on top of the microphone transmitter to turn it on and off. There is also a red LED that indicates that it is on.

The most common problem emcountered with the microphones is that their batteries only last between six and eight hours. When the batteries are worn out the microphones stop working very quickly. Often there is very little warning before the microphone fails. Many instructors keep an extra battery with them as a back up. To change the battery squeeze the two tabs on the front of the battery compartment and swing the door open. Remove the old battery and dispose of it in the trash. Please do not leave dead batteries around to confuse other instructors. Insert the fresh battery (stored in cabinet I1) into the battery slot in the transmitter.
