Physics 2216 Laboratory Equipment List

Lab 2: Mirrors and Reflection

Setup including laser, whiteboard, lenses, and mirrors.

All images are currently incorrect.

Transition notes:

  1. The following can be left out from the previous lab (2216 Lab 1: Heat Transfer and Internal Energy)
  2. Don't forget to sweep!!!!! Please!!!!

  1. Computer - 2000 level Desktop
  2. USB-A to USB-B USB cord
  3. 5-Beam Laser
  4. 5-Beam Laser Power Adapter
  5. Beam Selector
  6. Whiteboard - Table Top
  7. From the Geometric Optics Case you will need the following:
    • Geometric Optics Mat - Protractor
    • Geometric Optics Mirror - Concave
    • Geometric Optics Mirror - Plane
    • Geometric Optics Lens - Long Rectangle
  8. 2 x Metric Ruler
  9. Bar Magnet Set (comes with two magnets), Cylindrical
    • Stored in the Bar Magnet Box
    • Connected with 2 x Bar Magnet Keeper
  10. Whiteboard Eraser
  11. Dry Erase Markers Set
    • The marker set should come with the following markers:
    • Red Marker (Colors Not Yet in JSON File)
    • Blue Marker (Colors Not Yet in JSON File)
    • Green Marker (Colors Not Yet in JSON File)
    • Black Marker (Colors Not Yet in JSON File)
