Introduction
On this page you will find some links to the spectra we obtained for several of the targets from our P87 ESO-VLT proposal entitled : "Cosmological Impact of the largest scale BAL outflows". The goal of the campaign is to determine the feedback from high luminosity AGNs (quasars) by observing objects for which density diagnostic lines may be present in the spectrum. After a search for suitable candidates within the low resolution SDSS database, we selected six promising objects for observation with the brand new ESO X-Shooter spectrograph. This spectrograph, placed at the focus of the VLT-UT2 is able to catch in a single exposure the spectrum of objects, going form the UV atmospheric cuttoff to the NIR domain (essentially the UV to K band).
