DESCRIPTION:

This applet contains a few simple tools for performing calculations or conversions frequently used in astrophysics.
Currently, the tools available are:

• Redshift Velocity: Calculates the recessional velocity of an outflow in the quasar's frame of reference, given the redshift of the quasar and the outflow.
• GALEX Flux: Converts the flux obtained from the GALEX database from units of µJy to units of ergs/s/cm²/Å.

More tools will continue to be added to the program.
